Anti-gun politicians -- Republican and Democrat -- in Texas are promising to resurrect an Obama-era gun registration scheme defeated by gun owners in 2013.

Often referred to as “Universal Background Checks,” this dangerous registration scheme would funnel ALL firearm purchases in Texas through the Brady-NICS registry... requiring all gun sales be pre-approved by the government.

Worse, if you simply loan a gun to a friend to use at the gun range or for hunting -- without first going through the background check process -- you would be made a criminal!

So please sign your petition urging politicians to oppose Universal Gun Registration today!

No Universal Gun Registration!

Petition to Governor Abbott, Lt. Governor Patrick, & My Lawmakers

WHEREAS: Universal Gun Registration, often referred to as “Universal Background Checks,” would outlaw all private sales and transfers of firearms without first begging for government approval; and

WHEREAS: Universal Gun Registration funnels all would-be gun buyers into the already flawed Brady-NICS firearms registry, which denies many law-abiding citizens their rights for simply having the same name as a criminal; and

WHEREAS: Firearms registration is a clear violation of the Second Amendment, as well as Article 1, Section 23 of the Texas Constitution.

THEREFORE: As your constituent, I urge you to oppose ANY gun registration scheme. Texas Gun Rights will keep me informed of your actions.
