No “Assault Weapons” Ban

A petition to my elected officials in Washington and Austin

WHEREAS: The Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution clearly states that "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed;" and

WHEREAS: Article I, Section 23 of the Texas Constitution states that “Every citizen shall have the right to keep and bear arms in the lawful defense of himself or the State” and

WHEREAS: The proposed “Assault Weapons” Bans would prohibit firearms based solely on cosmetic features that “look scary” and having the capability to hold more than just a handful of rounds; and

WHEREAS: This draconian policy equates to a de facto ban on semi-automatic firearms that would ban most rifles, shotguns and handguns commonly used for hunting, self-defense, and sport shooting.

THEREFORE: I respectfully urge you to OPPOSE any so-called “Assault Weapons” Ban. Texas Gun Rights will keep me informed of your actions.

Freedom Loving Texan,

“We’re going to ban assault weapons again come hell or high water and high-capacity magazines.” – Joe Biden

Joe Biden and Democrats in Washington HATE the MILLIONS of law-abiding Americans who own so-called “Assault Weapons.”

But the “Assault Weapons” ban they’re pushing would ban the sale, transfer, importation, and manufacturing of hundreds of semi-automatic firearms with one or more cosmetic features the gun grabbers determine to be “scary.

As if that wasn’t enough, they would also ban standard-capacity magazines capable of holding more than 15 rounds. (Other proposals are as low as TEN rounds.)

This would equate to a de facto Semi Auto Ban -- banning most rifles, shotguns AND handguns commonly used for hunting, self-defense and sport shooting.

That’s why I’m counting on you to sign your No “Assault Weapons” Ban petition today!

After you’ve done that, please make a generous contribution of $25, $50, or even $100 today.

Anything you can afford will help us continue fighting for you in Washington and Austin!
